Questions and Answers from the YouTube Video

I can’t change the device block size. I use a PreSonus AudioBox iTwo audio interface. What should I do?

Thank you for your question. Please note that I have not used the PreSonus AudioBox iTwo, so this is an educated guess. There should be an AudioBox iTwo application on your computer (in the Applications folder on Mac or the Program folder on Windows). After quitting Studio One, you may be able to change the setting from that application. Please give it a try.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What should I set up before recording Impact in real time?

Set the latency, tempo, metronome and time signature. Latency directly affects timing accuracy, so it is a good idea to optimize it first.

Q2. What is the difference between MIDI quantize and humanize?

Quantize snaps a performance to a grid for more precise timing. Humanize adds small random variations to give it a more human feel.

Q3. What does adjusting velocity do?

Velocity expresses how strongly notes are played. Adjusting it adds dynamics and depth to the drums, helping create a more natural and realistic performance.

Q4. What does swing change?

Swing adds groove, transforming a mechanical beat into a more human-feeling rhythm. Use it as appropriate for the genre.
