A New Experiential Showroom Supporting Creators from Kansai to All of Japan

Since its founding in 2015, Rock oN Umeda has supported Osaka’s music scene and earned the trust of music creators and engineers. It reopened in a new look on September 6, 2024.
The new store is a three-minute walk from Hankyu Osaka-Umeda Station, in a convenient location.
At about eight times the size of the previous store, it has evolved into a shop offering an even wider range of hands-on experiences.

We visited the new store, toured its different areas, and spoke with the team about the concept and thinking behind the renovation.

Rock oN Umeda’s New Vision: Connecting People and Sound to Expand Possibilities

The theme of the renovation was “Unlimited UMEDA Vision”.
It expresses the desire to offer refined, unique experiences in sound and video, bringing unlimited possibilities to creators and engineers.
Reflecting that concept, the store was designed not simply as a place to sell products, but asan experiential showroom that inspires discovery and creativity.
The equipment is presented as more than a set of tools: it can be a “partner” that brings out a creator’s sensibilityand helps them rediscover the enjoyment of making music. To support that experience, thoughtful detailscan be found throughout the store.

Dedicated Support for Each Customer’s Needs

Rock oN’s experienced staff also provide thorough help with product selection. Beginners and professionals alike can receive advice tailored to their individual needs—one of the store’s strengths.
Rock oN PRO Area Manager Mr. Morimoto said the team aims to create an inviting space that excites customers, express its sincere gratitude, and move forward together. Valuing human connections andgrowing together are also part of what defines Rock oN Umeda.

At the time, Rock oN Shibuya primarily supported customers in the Kanto region, while Rock oN Umeda was positioned as a hub serving creators across Japan through its services.
Plans also called for expanding the scale of displays and events—an exciting prospect at the time.

To mark Rock oN Umeda’s 10th anniversary on January 15, 2025, the store and Sleepfreaks announced a joint anniversary campaign featuring a selection of prizes. The entry period has ended.
