Chopping up guitar sounds
Cutting guitar waveforms and relocating them
In this production recipe we will take a look at 「chopping up guitar」,
and placing them onto「8ths, 16ths, and 32nds」.
This allows you to create new rhythms from existing material,
with that distinct chopped up feel.
Sound design
Splitting material
We will add some cuts to the audio.
Placing the material
We moved the material, and placed it to 「8ths, 16ths, and 32nd」rhythms.
By controlling the note length, you can adjust the feel/choppiness of the sound.
Application
Place the material on over 2 tracks, and set separate PAN for each.
You can create an active moving sound.
This completes our sound.
