UR22C

UR22C_front_top_view_ang_left

・Open Priced (Market Price expected around 16,000 yen)
・Analog In/Out:2in/2out
・Includes mono button allowing you to choose between stereo monitoring with Input 1/2 or mono with 1 input

This is a model that we can recommend for all levels of users. Beyond production, you can even use this interface to play hi-res audio. By using the AD/DA chip (included in all models) this product is 32bit integer compatible and we feel the sound is clearer than ever before.
In addition, it’s rare to find DSP effects in an interface at this price range and size. Though DSP tends to require a lot of energy, the USB3.0 integration allows you to bus power this interface with no issues.
As seen, this product has high potential for future use and is a great deal for the price.

※ When using a USB2.0 connection on the PC side, a USB power adapter or mobile battery is required.

UR22C Recording Pack

UR22C_R_Pack_1

・Open Priced (Market Price expected around 29,000 yen)

This is a discount bundle that includes the UR22C, a condenser mic, and headphones. The UR22C includes Cubase AI as well, so if you already own a computer, you can begin making music right away with this bundle.
For those who want to record, DSP effects help remedy latency problems as well, allowing those with lower computer specs to still utilize this product.
We highly recommend this bundle to those who are looking to start making computer music!

UR44C

UR44C_front_top_view_ang_left

・Open Priced (Market Price expected around 30,000 yen)
・Analog In/Out:6in/4out

With more inputs and outputs, there are more recording applications that this can be utilized for, such as basic drum recording and more. Keeping your regular use synths plugged in is another great way to use this interface.
This key factor is that this interface can be bus powered as well. A separately sold Type-C to Type-C cable is required, but with 4 pre-amps and DSP effects, it is quite amazing that no other power source is required (of course you can use the included ac adapter and cable to use it as well).

UR816C

・Open Priced (Market Price expected around 56,000 yen)
・Analog In/Out:8in/8out (16in/16out total including ADAT digital in/output)
・WORD CLOCK, OPTICAL input included

This is the highest class model of the series with the most in/outputs available. You can get into detailed drum recordings, record bands together, and more. In addition to the ability to expand via ADAT, you can utilize the HA mode and use it as a preamp as well.
Though this interface cannot be bus powered, it fits into a 1U size rack and is more compact than previous models.
For pro-level hardware at this price, we highly recommend this product for users looking to record audio as well.

Recording with 32bit Integer

When recording audio in 32bit integer, please select the “High Precision” driver for Mac.

In addition, set the processing (audio engine) to 64 bit float.

64bit

We have an article that looks at 32bit integer audio and 64bit float in detail so be sure to check it out!

The driver in Windows is slightly different, and you can select “Low Latency” from the control panel.

By setting this separately from the buffer size, you can utilize even faster speeds to lower latency (this in turn will increase the CPU load).

In addition, it seems that USB3.0 does not provide much difference in terms of latency when compared to USB2.0.
However, with the implementation of the new SSP3 chip in the UR-C series, you can experience lower latency when compared to models from the previous UR series.

In addition, by using direct monitoring with DSP effects, you can record without the stress of latency as well.

dspMixFX and Remote Bridge

All models of the UR-C series include the “dspMixFx” DSP effects.

In addition, you can even utilize dspMixFx with Cubase running.

Audio In

When making an audio track, by selecting hardware input from the audio input,

UR22C

you can control the dspMixFx from the inspector of the audio track.
We have more details on this dspMixFx in this article below (Japanese):

You can remotely control the dspMixFx using iOS via “Remote Bridge”.
The 44C and 816C from the UR-C series include this feature.

A dspMixFx similar to the one on the computer screen will be displayed on the iPad, allowing you to control faders, panning, sends, and individual effect parameters.

Now you can record without having to move back and forth to make adjustments, and the ability to instinctively make changes without using a mouse is a plus.
